Presentation

The focus of my research activity is the notions of shame and work-related stress, and the problem of how shame may be decisive in some situations of sick-leave due to stress. I am particularly interested in leadership and how leaders, in cooperation with employees, can work with stress-mitigation in a day-to-day practice without imposing a therapeutically task on managers.  I have developed research-based tools for management and employees, in order to outline how stress may be handled and prevented, by focusing on social relations and shame in cooperative dialogues between management and the employees.

Currently I am undertaking the larger strategic research project: Stressprevention and wellbeing among students at CBS, where I together with students investigate the role of affect and emotions in relation to stress and wellbeing among students and develop concrete tools to working with wellbeing in class and groupwork.

In my teaching, I meet the students at eye level and take them seriously as like-minded people. I have a strong focus on the well-being and involvement of the students. I try to create a teaching environment where, via a personal and present appearance, I promote an active involvement of the students in the teaching.
