The importance of innovation for senior management
If you are a senior manager, you are constantly being evaluated and as we move out of the global credit crunch, you are most likely facing an increasing amount of pressure to perform, innovate and deliver top-notch results. Replacement rates among Danish C-suite executives are soaring and the need for innovation and new business ideas are ever-present.
“It is more important than ever that C-suite management is equipped with the hard business skills needed to recognise opportunities for business expansion as well as spot a dip in sales way ahead of time," says Jesper Rangvid, CBS Professor and Associate Dean for the CBS E-MBA. "The board tends to be less patient with poor results, and the we are moving towards a trend where board rooms are more likely to shout “Next!” instead of being patient with a CEO who is not able to deliver the expected results on time.”
CBS Executive MBA focuses heavily on innovation and challenges its top management participants to dive deeper into the art of innovation in a business context. Corporate leaders who understand the innovation process, who can embrace an entrepreneurial mindset regardless of whether they are leading a global corporation or a team of ten, stand a much greater chance of enjoying success and with that, longevity in their role. CBS E-MBA will give you the tools to identify, analyse and explain how, for example, technological innovation transforms well-established business models and when you emerge from your journey, you will be able to identify, position and evaluate a business opportunity, develop a business plan and communicate it to investors, customers, partners and key employees.
