Professor Constance Bagley, Yale School Management

Professor Constance Bagley will analyse the development of the commercial speech doctrine and its erosion in the United States. She will look at the latest cases from the United States, including Sorrell and Caronia. The talk is based on her article “Snake Oil Salesmen or Purveyors of Knowledge: Off-Label Promotions and the Commercial Speech Doctrine”. It is published in Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy, and is available here.

Constance E. Bagley is professor in the practice of law and management at the Yale School of Management. She is also a senior research scholar at the Yale Law School. Before joining the Yale SOM faculty, she was an associate professor at the Harvard Business School and was Senior Lecturer in Law and Management at the  Stanford University Graduate School of Business.  Prior to joining the Stanford faculty, she was a corporate securities partner in the San Francisco office of Bingham McCutchen.
