Making sure that all elements of a business model fit together can give one company an edge that enables it to outmanoeuvre a competitor. However, making sure that all those elements fit together can be a surprisingly difficult task.

Therefore, Thomas Ritter, Professor at the Department of Strategic Management and Globalization, has published the book AlignmentSquared – Driving Competitiveness and Growth through Business Model Excellence. The book is available as a free e-book download  or can be bought as hard copy.

Based on more than 10 years of research
The book gives the reader tools for analysing and developing the central parts of a business model. The key tool is called “business model alignment square” and it is the product of years of work.

Thomas Ritter has analysed and described the business models of small, medium and large organisations in a wide range of industries for more than 10 years. He is the Academic Director of the Competitiveness Platform.
