Presentation

Alan Irwin is a Professor in the Department of Organization at Copenhagen Business School. He has published over a number of years on issues of science and technology policy, scientific governance, citizen science and science-public relations. Alan Irwin is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, a Member of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters, an Honorary Fellow of the British Association for the Advancement of Science and a Distinguished Affiliated Professor at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). He has an honorary doctorate from the University of Gothenburg. His current research focuses on research and innovation policy.

From 2015 to 2018, Alan Irwin was the Vice-President of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Copenhagen Business School. Between 2007 and 2014, he served as Dean of Research. He was the CBS Acting President during 2011.
