CBS forges closer ties to business community
CBS wants to be considered the university of business, which is why CBS business is established. This new unit will consolidate activities related to co-operation with the business community to ensure the best development possible in the area.
"CBS already has great relations to the business community. We are looking to strengthen and and expand upon this relationship by intensifying the focus on this area so that CBS is considered the university of business," says Per Holten-Andersen.
The new area will have the overall responsibility for CBS' relations to the business community and the public authorities. The focus areas will be to:
• facilitate closer co-operation between CBS, the business community, and the public sector,
• connect internal activities to the business community and the public sector,
• ensure that education and research at CBS evolves while simultaneously accommodating the needs of the business community,
• build bridges between the business community, CBS' degree programmes and students, including alumni relations.
We are also aiming at a close relationship between CBS business and entrepreneurship and innovation, which are two major strategic focus areas at CBS in the years to come, says Per Holten-Andersen. He adds:
"CBS is under constant development. We need to keep up with the demands of society in terms of research and education. This is where CBS business will play an important part. We are looking forward to launching this new effort," he says.
CBS is now initiating a recruitment process to find a director for CBS business. Launch of the area is expected early autumn 2016.
