Statistical Analysis of Intra-firm Data
With advances in computer technology, electronic systems have to a large extent replaced paper files in most firms. Many of these data have in common that they can be used for applied statistical analysis to produce targeted management information. While these data are increasingly available as a side product of operations, their use in firms is often still limited. Many firms sit on extensive data treasures but skills and resources are limited to exploit them. At the same time the higher education sector may not have aligned degree programme structures to the increase in demand in data related skills, making it difficult for firms to fill their vacancies with graduates from Danish universities.
This interdisciplinary conference brings together leading practitioners, academic researchers and decision makers in university management and the government to discuss new opportunities and challenges for firms, research and the provision of higher education that evolve from technological change.
The preliminary programme is now available.
Registration deadline is 23 May 2016.
Scientific committee: Gorm Gabrielsen, H.C. Kongsted, Lisbeth La Cour, Dolores Romero Morales, Ralf A. Wilke.
The conference is supported by the Danish Society for Education and Business (DSEB) and the Reinholdt W. Jorck and Hustrus Foundation
