Working paper: Evaluating the Welfare of Index Insurance

CBS, Economics Department Associate Professor Jimmy Martinez-Correa and colleagues have worked out a working paper at CEAR, Georgia State University with the title Evaluating the Welfare of Index Insurance. The working paper discuss how index insurance was conceived to be a product that would simplify the claim settlement process and make it more objective, reducing transaction costs and moral hazard.
