Taking the next step in business leadership with the Blue MBA (Maritime Executive)

Thomas Damsgaard had over 25 years’ of maritime experience before deciding to embark on the Blue MBA. Determined not to become trapped in a rigid mindset and intent on acquire a new set of tools, he re-entered the classroom and was rewarded with a new approach, a more informed curiosity and the ability to ask questions that led to solutions.

“I think there is a lot of change that needs to happen, and change starts with changing the conversation. At a very core level, this is what the Blue MBA program has enabled me to do,” said Thomas Damsgaard to Maritime Executive in an interview that took place earlier this month.

Programme Director Irene Rosberg, who works tirelessly to ensure the programme remains relevant to the industry it serves, spearheads the Blue MBA.

“What makes this program unique is its relevance to the sectors we serve. Everything that we do, our students can make use of to apply directly to their jobs. It's learning by doing.”
