In order to obtain the PhD degree, Frederik Bjørn Christensen has submitted his thesis entitled:
Essays on the Intergenerational Welfare State
Frederik’s research is in macroeconomics, public policy, demography, welfare, and inequality, and combines computational models and micro data to analyze pertinent policy issues. His dissertation, Essays on the Intergenerational Welfare State, comprises three papers that study i) pension reform in the face of demographic change, ii) the impact of inequality in longevity on redistribution in public pension schemes, and iii) public education subsidies to address the US student debt crisis.
