In order to obtain the PhD degree, Nicola Ens has submitted her thesis entitled:

#Poshboss
An Ecological Ethnography of Digital Hustling

Against the backdrop of unstable jobs and precarious labour market conditions, digital hustling has emerged as an alternative whereby digital platforms provide the means to seek opportunities outside of conventional employment. Through an ethnographic study of the technological practices associated with hustling, embedded in the broader context of platformization, this dissertation contributes an understanding of how hustling has become a more mainstream mode of income generation in the 21st century.

The thesis will be available from research.cbs.dk
