Department of Operations Management

Yanan is a PhD Fellow at the Department of Operations Management, starting in 2025. She holds a BBA (Hons) degree in International Shipping and Transport Logistics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2022) and a Master of Engineering (by research) in Industrial Systems Engineering & Management from National University of Singapore (2024).
Her research interests focus on sustainable strategies and behaviors in supply chains, particularly within the shipping industry. She is working under the supervision of Prof. Liping Jiang and Prof. Leonardo Santiago. In addition to her current research, she has contributed to studies on container port management policies, simulation optimization of port operations, and the adoption of emerging technologies in the maritime sector. She also has experience supervising master's theses in maritime technology and management.
