What is the future for Data, Economy, and Responsibility?
The Digital Transformations Platform at Copenhagen Business School invites you to an afternoon where we take stock of five years of research and public engagement in digital transformations and look into the future.
After a welcome by CBS President Nikolaj Malchow-Møller, the program highlights cutting-edge ideas from both the platform and our international network. We have invited Professor Michael Power (London School of Economics) as keynote to talk about his forthcoming book on The Economy of Traces. Power is the author of the bestselling book The Audit Society: Rituals of Verification and currently working on questions about traces in a digital era.
Furthermore, we have keynotes Cristina Alaimo (LUISS University) and Jannis Kallinikos (LSE / LUISS University) who will talk about their forthcoming book Data Rules: Reinventing the Market Economy. Alaimo and Kallinikos have published widely on platforms, data and innovation in international journals and books.
On this backdrop, our moderator Marie Høst will host a distinguished panel to discuss the future of tech:
- Nana Bule (CEO, Microsoft Denmark and Chair of Digitaliseringsrådet)
- Lisbeth Knudsen (Director of Strategy, Mandag Morgen)
- Michael Jarlner (International Editor, Politiken)
This will be followed by research insights from CBS colleagues Julie Uldam, Daniel Hardt, and Attila Marton.
We will finish the afternoon with a conversation with Academic Directors of the Digital Transformations Platform, Ioanna Constantiou and Mikkel Flyverbom: ‘Looking ahead from five years of facilitating research and public engagement on digital transformations’.
Everyone is invited for a reception after the event – music by DJ Low Pressure and bubbles to celebrate!
We look forward to seeing you.
