0.5 million to new CBP project on media studies

For a new project entitled
'Media Reporting and Public Knowledge: A Three-Nation Study' CBP has received 499.440 DKK from Forskningsrådet for Kommunikation og Kultur. The projekt is a comparative study of the consequenses of the shift away from hard news reporting and international news reporting in media systems around the world. It will be based on a systematical sampling of media contents from 36 selected days during 2006-07 combined with representative interviews with media users. The project will be carried out simulatiously in Denmark; the UK and USA by Professor Anker Brink Lund, International Center for Busienss and Politics, CBS; Professor James Curran, Coldsmiths College, London, UK og Professor Shanto Iyengar, Stanford University, USA.
