Niels Chr. Nielsen the title of Adjunct Professor in Innovation Management in Knowledge-based companies at MPP.

Niels Christian Nielsen
has proven himself a leader and innovator of knowledge-based companies. Most of his career has evolved in professional services companies, but he has also run R&D operations, and contributed to success and innovation within diverse sectors as media, IT, venture investment, insurance and highly specialized manufacturing. He has worked with listed companies as well as start ups, and is experienced in IPO’s, venture investment and M&A processes. Until 1999 he was a member of the Executive Board of Teknologisk Institut, and he is currently Berkeley Chairman and CEO of Q Networks Inc. He is especially recognized for his experience in building the competitiveness of companies through innovation; through the quality of their networking relations with other companies, and for a leadership that attracts talent. He is a frequent speaker on business issues, and is highly experienced in dealing with the media; he has written and contributed to several books on networks, on the knowledge based economy, on education, and on technological and organizational innovation (among these the articles “Spoken about Knowledge” and “Verdens bedste uddannelsessystem”). He has been on a large number of company boards and government committees (Codan, Unimerco, 2M Invest, Jyllands-posten, MandagMorgen, Prophet and DAI to mention a few). He holds a MA in Philosophy and the History of Ideas, and has done research and teaching in that field. He is currently a Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley.
