Tuesday, March 19, 2013 - 09:00 to Thursday, March 21, 2013 - 13:00

Complexity, pressure and constant flows of information have become every day factors of organisational life and decision making for leaders and employees in most companies and organisations. This challenges the need for innovation, high performance, better service and fast deliveries. Thus, executives and managers are on the outlook for competencies and methods that can improve leadership and the overall organisational performance

Mindfulness is put on the agenda by corporations and organisations all over the world as a tool to manage these challenges. However, there are some questions that deserve investigation and inquiry:

Does mindfulness improve performance and effectiveness in organisations and how?

  • Is there something like ‘mindful leadership’ and how can it become a better way to cope with pressures and complexity?
  • How can we observe and describe the particular strengths of a mindful organisation? How is it developed?
  • And what critical perspectives should we be aware of?

These and more questions will be addressed at the Conference on 20 March 2013 at CBS and the two workshops the day before and after the conference. We bring together academics and practitioners from all over the world in order to learn more about mindfulness in leadership, share experiences, inspire further dialogue and critical reflection into this field. Participants will be introduced to Mindfulness and will be among the first to be presented to new results from research into the effects of mindfulness in organisations.

The event is aimed at executives and managers from all levels and areas in private and public organisations as well as HR and organisational consultants, advisors and researchers.
