Paul du Gay is Visiting Professor in Norway

Academic Director of the PPP, Paul du Gay, is a University of Oslo Visiting Professor in the Department of Sociology and Human Geography, during November and December.

Yesterday Paul gave a Public Lecture at the University entitled 'In Praise of Bureaucracy' and participated, as the pictures below illustrate, afterwards in an interdisciplinary workshop on the theme of 'Bureaucracy and Anti-Bureaucracy'.

 

While in Oslo Paul has been developing a proposal with Professors Haldor Byrkjeflot and Fredrik Engelstad to establish a research Centre for the Analysis of Bureaucracy in Society (CABS). The proposed centre would be a joint initiative between the University of Oslo and the PPP at CBS. More information will follow.
