Measuring ABC-Value (CfC)

Abstract:

The vision for the Centre of Civil Society Studies is to create a contribution to the scarce Danish civil society studies, which predominantly focuses on charity and volatility. Our analyses will focus especially on creation of value, partnership philanthropy, and mutual relations between interests. It will furthermore bridge the divide between foreign experience in a comparative research perspective, primarily with data from the US, the UK, Germany, and France.This will come about by coordinating and qualifying the Danish research in that research field with contributions from international top researchers, who will be invited to Denmark not only to work at the centre, but also to communicate their experiences on to other civil stakeholders. For that same reason the centre creates a researcher network and a web page which gives the public access to research grounded knowledge in order to nuance journalistic simplifications and correct misconceptions of the role of philanthropists in Danish civil society.
