Business Directory
Kompass contains information on more than 50 million companies worldwide, including about 240.000 Danish companies. Traditionally, Kompass had its strength in the business-to-business (B2B) area, but now also covers e.g. the retail area.
Products and services
Kompass' strength is a detailed product code system (product register) in which the companies are classified. There are just over 53,000 different products/goods. In other industrial classification code systems such as DB07, NACE and NAICS there are max 800 industries in comparison.
The information in Kompass is primarily based on the companies self-reporting.
CBS Library does not offer access to the financial information section. Use Orbis instead for companies worldwide.
Easy Business module
Start your search by selecting the menu item “Search”. You can choose between Basic or Multiple search (Advanced Search). You can refine your search via a number of criteria: Kompass classification, other classifications (industry codes), location, number of employees, company structure trade names / trademarks etc.
Refine my search gives you the option to limit your searches to e.g. import regions, export regions and company type
Language
You can select between a Danish and an English language version.
Download (printing) / data export
It’s only possible to download data to pdf. And only company profiles – not company lists.
