In 1999 he took over as CEO for Irma A/S which at the time found itself in a critical situation - customers were being lost, employees were leaving, deficits were increasing. However, due to a focused strategy and a huge effort from the leadership Irma managed to turn the situation from crisis to success and growth.

So the story of Alfred Josefsen is a story of change management. It is also a story of the role of a leader creating a strong culture characterized by high performance, commitment, and satisfaction.
