A new Board of Directors at CBS
Senior Executive Vice President of TDC A/S, Eva Berneke, and Chief Senior Executive of Nordea Denmark, Peter Schütze, join the CBS Board of Directors
According to the Danish Act on Universities, the members of the CBS Board of Directors are nominated or elected for a four-year period. External members are nominated, while internal members and students are elected. Starting from 1st February 2008, CBS will therefore have a new Board, which will include several new students, as well as internal and external members.
Two new external members have agreed to join the Board: Senior Executive Vice President of TDC, Eva Berneke, and Chief Senior Executive of Nordea Denmark, Peter Schütze, while Managing Directors, Merete Eldrup, Peter Gorm Hansen, and Anders Knutsen, and Vice President ,Klaus Holse Andersen, have again been nominated.
Electronic election among students and employees
At the end of 2007, when employees and students had to elect the internal members for the new Board, it was not done with polling stations, pens, and paper. CBS conducted, as usual, an electronic election. CBS has also developed the system that half of the Danish universities use in connection with elections.
The newly elected internal members are: Department Administrator Patrick S. Gram, Professor Kristian Kreiner, and students Sanne Karina Hansen and Henrik Thorn. Professor Thomas Plenborg was reelected.
The new Board members are nominated or elected for a four-year period that starts immediately on 1st February 2008.
The start of the new Board signifies a farewell to a number of Board members who have all contributed prodigiously: Managing Director Niels Kjeldsen, President Peter Lorange, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Kerstin Sahlin, Associate Professor Doris Hansen, Professor Jens Frøslev Christensen, Special Consultant Lars Thorsen, and Maja Gottschalk Andersen and Karina Tambo Jensen who are both students at CBS.
