CBS launches new job portal

New job portal provides students with targeted job ads in Denmark and abroad

01/19/2012

Students must be offered the best jobs and career opportunities. That is the idea behind CBS’ new career portal, which has just been launched at careergate.cbs.dk.

Students and companies target their search

The website offers a new meeting place for students, new graduates and Danish and international companies.

It is now possible for companies to target their job ads and internships for students and find the profiles with exactly the competences they are looking for. The students will also be able to follow the companies and stay informed of new career opportunities at the companies of their interest.  Hopefully, this will open the students' eyes to alternative paths to the job of their dreams.

Look outside Denmark

- Both globalisation and the crisis illustrate that it is important that the students are more aware of alternative ways to be part of the companies, for instance through projects, internships, and other activities. In addition, they must be exposed to job markets outside Denmark's borders, which is why the career portal has an international focus and provides the students with an overview of their options in other countries, says Bella Lea Buono, Career Counsellor from CBS Career Center.

At the same time, the companies will be able to receive CVs for matching candidates, when they have a job opening.

Internships and job advertisements from 40 countries

At the moment, the students can find internships and job ads from approximately 40 European countries, including Great Britain, Germany and Sweden. CareerGate is already very popular among the students. The page has already had 6,000 visits, and 1,500 users have already created a profile. CBS Career Center, who is behind the jobsite, has set 5,000 registered users within the first month as a goal.
