Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation voted CBS as Entrepreneurial University of the Year

It is, among other things, the increasing number of CBS students who, during the last five years, have started their own businesses and the number of female entrepreneurs that secured CBS the award for the second time. CBS first received this award in 2004.

It is a questionnaire survey among students at the universities and business schools of Denmark that forms the basis of the selection. The Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation is behind the survey, which is called ”Entrepreneur Barometer 2007”.

“It is the fifth time that we select a Danish university where the students are particularly active entrepreneurs. The universities are pivotal because academics are important innovators and founders of new knowledge-based businesses - and this is what Denmark will rely on in the future. CBS has, to a great extent, been able to motivate its students to take the entrepreneurship path”, says Helge Sander, the Danish Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation.

The Minister will officially present CBS with the award in connection with the opening of an international conference at CBS where 300 Deans and Presidents of business schools all over the world will meet to discuss new trends within management education. This year, the overall theme of the conference will be commitment and innovation.

It is the first time that the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) organisation holds the prestigious conference at CBS.
