Opera Director Kasper Bech Holten to be associated with CBS

Managers are facing new challenges. What do you do when you are in charge of creative and artistic people who have unique qualities, but who do not do well under constricting conditions? How do you manage without suffocating creativity? As society faces the radical changes toward the many possibilities of a knowledge- and experience-based economy, more corporate managers are facing these challenges.

For a while CBS has been researching the future forms of management at, among others, Centre for Business Development and Management Technology. With the appointment of Kasper Bech Holten, Opera Director at the Royal Danish Theatre, as adjunct professor, CBS is emphasising the priority of this area. When Kasper Bech Holten holds his inaugural lecture on June 8th he does so under the title ?From the logic of management to the art of

management "how to engage ambitious enthusiasts to collaborate on delivering the sublime"

Art, culture and management united

Kasper Bech Holten is appointed adjunct professor at CBS because he constitutes an important resource for Danish Management Development. His way of inspiring and managing has a unique, intense and captivating form, which unites the artistic and aesthetic with the particular conditions of the opera productions.

Kasper Bech Holten will be associated with the Centre for Business Development and Management Technology in the field of Management of Art and Culture. The collaboration has been a great inspiration to the researcher from that centre who right now is delving into the essence of "Management of enthusiasts and prima donnas".

The inaugural lecture "From the logic of management to the art of

management" will take place on June 8th at 3 pm in the Tuborg Auditorium

2.02 Copenhagen Business School - Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg

Everyone is welcome
