Mads Øvlisen, former Chairman of the Board, Novo Nordisk, donates DKK 1 million to CBS to research in Corporate Social Responsibility

In recognition of Mads Øvlisen’s significant impact on Novo Nordisk, the company has decided to donate DKK 1 million to a research project in Denmark of his desire.

Mads Øvlisen has picked a newly-established, 3-year research project at CBS with the title: “The Nordic Agenda on Corporate Social Responsibility – a study of the future challenges to companies in the North”

Yesterday, Mads Øvlisen retired from his position as Chairman of the Board at Novo Nordisk after having been attached to the company for 34 year. Through the years, he has been recognised for his consistent and excellent work with Corporate Social Responsibility.

“We are extremely honoured and pleased to receive this significant donation from Mads Øvlisen. We have worked closely together with him for a number of years now due to his attachment to CBS as Adjunct Professor. The money is going to launch a 3-year research project on Corporate Social Responsibility in the Nordic countries”, says Mette Morsing, Director, Center for Corporate Values Responsibility, CBS.

“I am very pleased and grateful for the opportunity to support this particular project. It is a real “Novo Nordisk gift” – an investment in research, education and sustainability”, says Mads Øvlisen.
