PhD defence: Jonas Sveistrup Søgaard
Distributed ledger technology (DLT), or more widely known blockchain technology, has often been associated with cryptocurrencies. However, the underlining technology has many more applications. Therefore, Jonas seeks to provide designs for accounting information systems using DLT through a design science research approach that academics and practitioners can use and extend. The thesis presents designs focusing on the instant settlement of value-added tax, performance evaluation frameworks, and theoretically designs for a new way of doing business.
