MPP’s PhD fellow Cristine Dyrberg Højgaard is one of the recipients of this year’s Elite Research Travel Grant

Cristine Dyhrberg Højgaard from Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy, CBS has been awarded the EliteForsk travel grant for her research on fluid forms of organization in modern civil society. The grant of 200.000 kr is rewarded by The Ministry of Higher Education and Science in order to help very talented PhD students to perform longer-term studies in some of the best research environments in the world. 

The grant of 200.000 kr. is to be spent on Cristine’s current research stay at SCANCOR, Stanford University, California. 

Cristine works in the research fields of civil society and organization studies, scrutinizing fluid forms of organization in civil society. Based on a processual-relational ontology, she explores how modes of fluid organizing succeed in collective action and what characterizes the engagement produced herein. Through a practice lens, she engages with research on partial organizations and ‘organizationality’, emphasizing the role of care and craft in fluidly organized civic engagement. Her research contributes to civil society debates on the democratic implications of fluid forms of organization. Cristine is part of the research project Civil Society in the Shadow of the State (Cistas.dk).

Recipients of Elite Research prizes were presented and honoured at the annual Elite Research Conference, which took take place on February 24, 2022 at Moltkes Palæ in Copenhagen.
