CBS Strengthens Maritime Research and Education with New Recruitment
The Department of Operations Management is pleased to announce the addition of Yanan Li as a PhD fellow. Yanan’s research will focus on energy transition strategies of alternative fuels for liner shipping companies, examining the key factors that influence these companies' investment decisions and the interplay between liner carriers in this context. Yanan’s supervisors are Liping Jiang and Leonardo Santiago.
With shipping responsible for approximately 80% of global trade and facing increasing sustainability pressures, Yanan's research on the impact of stakeholder strategies and decisions on sustainable shipping will provide valuable insights for both academia and industry. By studying major players like Maersk and MSC, her work contributes CBS Maritime to remain at the forefront of maritime innovation. This recruitment highlights CBS's commitment to advancing maritime studies and promoting a sustainable shipping industry.
Yanan has a BA in Business Administration (Hons) in International Shipping and Transport Logistics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She recently completed her Master of Engineering (by research) at the National University of Singapore.
