CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Organizations are facing increasing complexity in their operations induced by fast changing competitive landscape, but also from the grand challenges in industry and society. For example, climate changes, energy crisis, shocks and disruptions such as COVID-19 are forcing organizations to become more resilient in managing operations locally and globally. This entails the need for the organizations to strategize for empowered leadership to drive service innovation and business opportunities.

The 11th EurOMA Service Operations Management Forum invites researchers from relevant fields who are interested in developing cutting-edge theory and applicable solutions to these current, and future challenges in industry and society. Such challenges not only create opportunities that can be facilitated by, for example, a circular economy approach, but also from adapting and advancing emerging technologies such as digitalization, machine learning and artificial intelligence. The development of applicable solutions fosters customization of services, potentially enabling more intense customer involvement and collaboration as well as between companies and public organizations in networks and ecosystems.

We also welcome contributions focusing on related topics, such as:
•    Servitization in the manufacturing industry
•    New service design and development
•    Modularity (services, products, software, platforms)
•    Business model innovation
•    Product, services and data/software integration
•    Service development in different contexts and industries
•    Service operations management for sustainability (SDG goals, climate regulations, energy, and circular economy)
•    Globalization effects and impact on geo-political governance caused by shocks and disruptions
•    Strategies for empowering tomorrow’s operations management leaders
