Otto Mønsted Visiting Professorship - Barry Gerhart (SMG Barry Gerhart)

Abstract:

We would like to apply for support for the employment of the foreign visiting professor Barry Gerhart from the Department of Management and Human Resources at the Wisconsin School of Business.SMG and CBS in general will benefit very much from Professor Gerhart’s experience in research and publishing in top-journals. According to a study published in the Journal of Management, Gerhart was among the top one percent of most-cited authors in the field of management. He received numerous awards: for example, in 2013, he was inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Management (AOM), an honor received by roughly one percent of current AOM members.During his stay, Professor Gerhart will teach at the PhD program and selected Master's level programs, assist in establishing global networks and offer several research seminars on publishing as well as one-to-one mentoring of SMG faculty (both junior and senior researchers).
