Employment, investment, and inequality in the aftermath of the Covid-19 crisis

Abstract:

The Covid-19 crisis is of unprecedented nature and there is still little understanding of its impact and consequences. There is even less knowledge about the impacts of the measures taken to fight it. The economy is now moving through unknown terrain, equipped with tools with unknown effects. The current project will seek to fill this knowledge gap, with the aim of providing useful information to policy makers. We plan to exploit the impact of the crisis to provide new insights on how the economy actually works by utilizing rich administrative micro data as well as survey data from Norway, Germany, and Denmark.
