Yvette Lind published in National Tax Journal with paper on childcare infrastructure and gender equality on the labor market
Assistant professor in tax law Yvette Lind has had her paper 'Childcare Infrastructure in the Nordic Countries as a Way of Enabling Female Labor Market Participation' published in the prestigious National Tax Journal.
The journal is a U.S-based journal, which has been published since 1948 and is currently part of the University of Chicago Press Journals. The journal is focused on economic, theoretical, and empirical analyses of tax and expenditure issues with an emphasis on policy implications.
Dr. Lind´s paper in question provides a legal analysis of how barriers for increased gender equality in the labor market can be mitigated through the inclusion of childcare infrastructure, primarily paid parental leave, regulation of maternal and paternal leave, and universal childcare. The five Nordic countries of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Iceland are used as case studies.
