Kalina S. Staykova is investigating broad range of issues related to digital platform ecosystems (e.g., design, adoption, monetization, strategy, co-innovation, regulation, etc.) in various contexts (e.g., digital payments, e-commerce, sharing economy, etc.). She worked in close collaboration with MobilePay, a leading Nordic digital payment platform ecosystem, during her Industrial PhD project, where she studied the various mechanisms, which contingently shape the evolution of digital platform ecosystems under high level of uncertainty.
Her research interests also include the disruption of the financial service industry caused by new technologies, changing regulatory environment, and the emergence of new contenders. Kalina holds a joint Elite Master’s degree in International Law, Economics and Management from Copenhagen Business School and University of Copenhagen.
