Presentation

I am a theoretical Industrial Economist with a diversified research interest in network industries, like the electricity industry, markets where asymmetric information plays a major role or where the competition is incomplete due to other irregularities like, for example, network externalities. I am a German and received my M.Sc. at the University of Goettingen, my Ph.D. at the University of Konstanz and was habilitated at the Free University of Berlin. Before I joined CBS in 2005, I have been an assistant professor at the Free University of Berlin and was a research fellow at the Science Centre Berlin (WZB) and at the University of Konstanz. I am Head of PhD school at CBS since January 2020.
