Presentation and academic fields

I am an economist with passion for teaching and lifelong learning. In my teaching, I put emphasis on real-world applications, and I focus on the individual student’s needs. My research is within the fields of Health Economics and Behavioural Economics.

Professional and/or academic experience

Senior lecturer at Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College and Assistant lecturer at Copenhagen Business School. I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Southern Denmark. The topic of my thesis is ‘Physicians motivation and care’. The aim of the thesis is to uncover physicians’ motivational profiles and particularly how their financial motivation links to care.

Pedagogical experience/method skills/supervision

My perception of learning is built on three core pillars: lifelong learning, contemporary and interactive teaching, and active, hands-on learning. In my view, continuous learning is essential in today's world, where technological advancements like Big Data, Autonomous Manufacturing, Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence are rapidly transforming the way people live and work. Facilitating favourable learning environment, inflaming student’s curiosity, and encouraging student’s critical thinking and independence are a key signature of my teaching style.

Since 2017, I have attended various pedagogy-related courses. I have extensive experience in teaching Macroeconomics, International Economics, Finance, and Operations and Supply Chain Management. I have supervised bachelor projects, and I have been a co-supervisor on a master thesis called ‘Cost-effectiveness of smoking secession interventions for COPD patients: A scoping review’.
