Lasse Heje Pedersen is named best European economist under the age of 40

Professor Lasse Heje Pedersen from Department of Finance has received the Germán Bernácer Prize. The prize was created and launched in 2000 by the “Observatorio del Banco Central Europeo” OBCE (the Spanish ECB watcher).

Lasse Heje Pedersen is named best European economist under the age of 40

Professor Lasse Heje Pedersen from Department of Finance has received the Germán Bernácer Prize. The prize was created and launched in 2000 by the “Observatorio del Banco Central Europeo” OBCE (the Spanish ECB watcher).

The Selection Committee has awarded the prize to Lasse Pedersen for “his original research contributions on how the interaction between market liquidity risk and funding liquidity risk can create a liquidity spiral and systemic financial crises”.

He will receive the prize and 30.000 Euro at a ceromony in Madrid on 28 June 2012.
