PeRCent Annual Conference 2023
A successful ninth flagship conference for PeRCent
The PeRCent Annual Conference 2023, held on November 7, had 175 attendees – an all-time record.
The event featured research presentations exploring critical areas such as the impact of mandatory pension savings on voluntary saving, reasons behind the low demand for reverse mortgages, the relationship between pension funds and capital market dynamics, and strategies for optimizing liquidity in early pension withdrawals.
Keynote speaker Professor Francisco Gomes, from the London Business School, delivered an insightful address on life-cycle asset allocation.
The policy forum commemorated the 30th anniversary of the initiation of mandatory labor-market pensions in Denmark, fostering discussions on its influence on the Danish economy and addressing challenges within the current system. Additionally, it delved into the intriguing questions regarding the existence of an 'optimal' pension fund size.
A huge thank you to all the speakers, discussants, penallists, moderators and the organizers for making the conference such an interesting and insightful event.
