Research Workshop 2021: Consumption and Saving over the Life Cycle
The Research Workshop 2021: Consumption and Saving over the Life Cycle is a joint initiative between the University of Iceland and Copenhagen Business School (CBS), organized by Professors Svend E. Hougaard Jensen and Gylfi Zoega.
A common theme is the study of consumption and saving over the life cycle. Presentations at the workshop will address this theme through a variety of theoretical, empirical and policy orientations.
Several studies will use household data to study the effects of institutional changes, such as pension reform, mortgage relief etc., on life cycle behaviour and the macroeconomy.
The workshop brings together a number of researchers from Iceland, Denmark, Sweden and the UK. Special focus has been given to attendance and presentations by junior researchers, including PhD students.
We gratefully acknowledge the financial support to this event from the Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannís) and the Pension Research Centre (PeRCent) at CBS.
