Christian Damsgaard Jørgensen holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics (cand.scient. i anvendt matematik) with a specialisation in Statistics from the University of Southern Denmark. He also earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (B.Sc. i datalogi) from the same institution.
His current fields of interest include (but are not limited to) probability theory, mathematical statistics, estimating functions, statistical modelling, statistical inference, multivariate statistics, applied statistics, computational statistics, and statistical programming.
Christian currently holds multiple positions in academia. He is a teaching assistant professor (studieadjunkt) at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Aalborg University. Additionally, he works as a part-time lecturer (ekstern lektor) at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Southern Denmark. Furthermore, he serves as a part-time lecturer (ekstern lektor) at the Department of Finance at Copenhagen Business School.
Christian has published articles in reputable academic journals such as PLOS ONE, eBioMedicine, STEM CELLS Translational Medicine, Analyst, and Journal of Translational Autoimmunity. He is a member of the nationwide body of external examiners in mathematics at Danish universities, appointed by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science for the period April 1, 2022 through March 31, 2026.
Christian has successfully completed the university pedagogical programme (universitetspædagogikum) at Aalborg University, along with several pedagogical courses offered by the SDU Centre for Teaching and Learning.
