Kristian Kjeldsen holds a MSc Economics, Copenhagen University and a PhD Finance, Copenhagen Business School.
Fields of interest include Central Banking, banking, banking supervision and resolution, banks’ capital and liquidity policies/requirements, market and funding liquidity, econometric analysis related to banking and financial markets, covered bonds and covered bond markets, Financial Market Infrastructures, central bank digital currencies.
External Lecturer at Department of Finance, Copenhagen Business School.
Current occupation: Head of Financial Stability and Economic Analysis at Single Resolution Board – the Banking Union resolution authority.
Former occupations: 20 years at Danmarks Nationalbank in various positions as Payment Systems, Financial Stability and Liquidity & Collateral. 3 years at the European Investment Bank working on Asset-Liability management and portfolio performance evaluation.
