Presentation and academic fields

Lars Dyrhagen is Lecturer at CBS of Management, Society and Communication (MSC) at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark.

Academically, he is engaged and interested in the field intersections and relations between government, business, civil society and technology.

 

Professional and/or academic experience

From 2015-17 Lars Dyrhagen served as Uber's Head of Public Policy in Northern Europe contributing to national policy reforms in various countries and initiated Uber's global positions on policy issues like tax reporting, the future of work and labor unions as well as low density and rural areas.

From 2013-15 he was the Executive Director with Ogilvy PR/ Mannov managing the team of policy and PR professionals and as the advisor and account executive for international and Scandinavian engagements.

From 2007-12, through various positions up until Global Vice President, Lars Dyrhagen built Danfoss' Global Public Affairs & Policy team and established the company's EU-rep office in Brussels.

Since 2017, he works as an independent public policy & relations advisor for corporations, such as Airbus, Bird and Wolt, and start-ups.

Pedagogical experience/method skills/supervision

Lars Dyrhagen teaches and coordinates the following courses:

  • Big Tech Platforms: Technology, Power & Politics.
  • International Lobbying & Corporate Public Policy.

He counsels and supervises theses at the master/graduate levels, for instance:

  • Does Platform Power Translate to Political Influence? An Analysis of the Apple App Store and the Digital Markets Act.
  • The role of co-design in preventing polarising energy transition policies in the European Union.
