Presentation and academic fields

Flemming Cumberland (M.Sc. from the University of Copenhagen) has been an Associate Professor in International Marketing and Marketing Management at The Department of Marketing, CBS, for a number of years. Present he is a consultant and an External Lecturer within International Marketing & Marketing Management & Business Economy. He is a Course Coordinator within -International Marketing & Export Management (bachelor) -Financial Managed Marketing and Strategy (bachelor) -Market Management (HD, diploma) His areas of special interest are market penetration & entry modes, consumer ethnocentrism, international sourcing decisions, international marketing mix.

Professional and/or academic experience

Before joining CBS, Flemming Cumberland worked as an executive manager/director in the Danish Business Community and as a Consultant. He is the author of a wide range of publications: A great number of textbooks and case books for Higher Education/University and as a contributor to handbooks & encyclopedia. Besides author of more scientific articles in International Journals (please ask for the list of publications). Professional consultant for the assessment of specific project applications under Danish Council of Social Sciences (SSF).

Pedagogical experience/method skills/supervision

Graduate in practical and theoretical teaching proficiency in high school and Higher Preparatory Examination Course. Professional postgraduate teacher training. A Part-time Lecturer at the Naval Officer School A Part-time Lecturer in economics at the Army Officer School Supervisor for a lot of - Master Thesis (CM) -Bachelor projects (HA) -Final projects in HD-MM (Marketing Management).
