PhD defence: Lars Balslev
This thesis is inspired by the research within management accounting and corporate governance. The research study builds on the literature within developing countries to establish the process of development in state-owned enterprises operating in this extreme and unique environment. The case studies focus on actors and practices analyzing change and how this is a result of the highly institutional environment found in Greenland. The analysis reveals that organizations operating in these settings involve a large amount of institutional factors that are part of the overall environment, why more focus needs to be on agency and structures.
