Sustainable procurement has become a strategic priority for companies in their transition towards more sustainable supply chains.

CBS has therefore decided to establish a focused research initiative on the topic: the Sustainable Procurement Initiative (SPI). The purpose of this initiative is to make a positive impact on sustainable procurement practices in Denmark by studying and assisting Danish companies in their implementation of sustainable procurement projects. The project will also generate new knowledge and insights for education programmes on sustainable procurement.

We invite you to attend the SPI launch event to learn more about the purpose of the initiative as well as the activities and methods we have in mind for the research.

The launch event includes a presentation of Ørsted’s experiences working with sustainable procurement. Discussions with the SPI research team provide an opportunity for participants to share experiencesand learn of ways to get involved! The event is free of charge, but registration is mandatory.

14:00-14:30: Networking break
14:30-15:00: Case – working with SP in practice – Opportunities and obstacles by Simon Juul Toft, Lead Green Procurement Specialist, Ørsted
15:00-15:45: Group discussions – Opportunities and obstacles in sustainable procurement.
15:45-16:00: Wrap up and next steps
16:00-16:30: Drinks and networking

The workshop is organized by the Sustainable Procurement Initiative Research Team at the Department of Operations Management: Kim Sundtoft Hald, Thomas Johnsen, Britta Gammelgaard, Andreas Wieland, Philip Beske-Janssen and Sofia Wiik.

Participation in the launch event is free of charge, but registration is mandatory.
