Professional and/or academic experience

Christina uses her experience from both research and leadership consulting to support management development by putting diversity into play and strengthening the quality of decision-making processes. She shares concrete knowledge and tools from her book through strategic advice, keynotes, workshops, webinars, panel discussions, etc.

Methods from the book "Bias Conscious Leadership" can help you turn diversity and inclusion into functioning as a cornerstone in management development by reducing bias, increasing psychological safety, and creating a better and deeper basis for decision-making. Relevant themes include:

• Increase sustainable decisions with collective intelligence

• Intellectual humility makes you an inclusive leader

• Cultural intelligence and recipient-oriented communication

• Leadership from silence to psychological safety

• Group dynamics and patterns of power

• Mechanisms behind bias in both humans and machines

Bias Conscious Leadership is recommended by the Ministry of Digitalization and Equality to support organizational DEI initiatives. Børsen's Henrik Ørholst writes "Excellently written - a book that gets directly into the discussion about how leadership is exercised and how leadership groups are composed. It raises many interesting and relevant points that should be read by those at the top of business life.”

Pedagogical experience/method skills/supervision

In addition to organizational psychology, management and HRM, Christina teaches topics of a social nature (e.g. diversity, inclusion, bias awareness, sustainability, behavioral psychology, motivation, ethical digitization, and culture). She mainly supervises theses within the area of diversity, inclusive leadership and decision making.

In 2016, Christina Lundsgaard Ottsen completed “adjunkt-pædagogikum” from Aarhus University. Her teaching experience is mainly from the Department of Psychology. However, while living in the Middle East, she taught at Qatar University. In addition, she held lectures for managers on SDU's Master in Public Management (FMOL). She teaches equally well in Danish and English
