EU funds for research and education

DKK 22 million. This is how much researchers from CBS have applied for from the EU 7th Frame Programme for Research. The programme was launched at the beginning of the year and runs seven years, in which DKK 376 billion will be offered for research and development.

With the initiation of the theme ”Socioeconomic sciences and humanities” it is the first time that Social Science gets financing from EU’s Frame Programmes.

CBS is part of a total of 15 projects valuing more than DKK 277 million.

- The EU research financing programmes are a major source of cash in terms of international research collaboration. Increased participation in international projects helps to ensure CBS has an international profile, says Lise Vinkel, Research Consultant on EU at CBS.

She emphasizes that only universities that prioritize the EU have the option to influence the seventh Frame Programme and assures that CBS is warming up for the next round of financing in the autumn.

Groundbreaking project

CBS acts as coordinator of five projects and is thus responsible for the international consortium behind each project delivering the research and the results projected.

Peer Hull Kristensen, Professor at Center of Business and Politics has had good experiences with 7th Frame Programme. He says about the research project:

Our project is ground breaking in the way it handles “Intangible Investments” and we have delivered a project well worth continuing.
