CBS students gain ground in Venture Cup
Five CBS teams with great ideas are ready for the finals
This year's Venture Cup finalists have been named. This year, five teams from CBS have made it through to the finals, and they are ready to pursue the main prize of DKK 25,000 in the Services and Applied Technology categories. Venture Cup has experienced an increase of 86% in the number of participating teams from CBS, of which the many CBS finalists are a result.
From toys to lightweight concrete
Three of the CBS finalists are participating in the Services category, and the ideas are given free rein. For example, the ToyRex team has contributed with an idea about a new online market place for selling new and used toys. The YoungAcademics.dk team’s idea is an online platform, where academics looking for part-time positions get the opportunity to meet businesses that need help with a task.
The two other teams from CBS compete in the Applied Technology category, and one of the teams, Super-Light Structures, has made it to the finals by submitting an idea for technology that enables the construction industry to apply lightweight concrete.
The Venture Cup jury consists of 100 industry experts, entrepreneurs and investors, and they have chosen eight finalists in each category. The five CBS teams are going to compete against teams from the Technical University of Denmark, the University of Southern Denmark and the IT University of Copenhagen.
