Executive education in Philadelphia

Ove K. Pedersen and Carsten Greve from CBP led a group of 18 Danish public sector executives, who participated in a week’s executive education in Philadelphia in the USA in the period 28 October – 3 November 2007. The course was planned in close cooperation with the renowned
Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania and its director, professor Donald F. Kettl.

The Danish public sector top executives – from both local government and central government – heard lectures from (among others) Elaine Karmarck (Al Gore’s former top advisor on public management reform) from Harvard University, John Donahue from Harvard University. E-government expert Jane Fountain as well as Fels Institute faculty. Professor Donald F. Kettl delivered a lecturer on globalization and implications for public managers
