From big pharma to venture capital in biotech
Welcome to Jan Leschly as adjunct professor at CBS
Jan Leschly, internationally one of the most recognized people in the Danish business world, will now be associated with CBS.
He has had a unique carrier path in globally oriented companies, such as CEO of one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, SmithKline Beecham, and he brings with him a strong focus on exchange of experience. CBS is excited to be working closely with this reflective practitioner in order to further strengthen the new strategic initiatives in the globalized world.
Experience needs to be passed on to future top managers
“The reason I have chosen to become an adjunct professor at CBS is mostly because I would like to share the experience of many years as a top executive with the students, who will be some of the future business managers. I believe they can learn a lot from my experiences – both the good and the bad – Jan Leschly explains.
Throughout his career Jan Leschly has worked with all aspects of management, innovation and strategy in major global companies and he was one of the major forces in the mega fusion of SmithKline Beecham and Glaxo Wellcome.
“Strategy and globalization is an area in which close collaboration with reflective practitioners is of the utmost importance in order to further research and ultimately be of use to the business world. So we are happy that Managing Director Jan Leschly will be associated as adjunct professor. As the Danish business man who has made it biggest in international business he is a unique asset to CBS,” says Professor Nicolai J. Foss – Director of Center for Strategic Management and Globalization, to which Leschly will be associated.
As of September 1st 2006 CBS has named Managing Director and entrepreneur Jan Leschly as adjunct professor for “Strategy and management in global companies” at the Center for Strategic Management and Globalization.
