Interdisciplinary Conference of Fashion and Dress Cultures
Interdisciplinary Conference of Fashion and Dress Cultures
October 26-28, 2005
Fashion and dress cultures engage a large and diverse group of scholars at universities, design schools and museums and other institutions. Although we often speak different languages and do research with different purposes, it is the firm belief of the organising committee that we need a dialogue between different approaches and disciplines in order to strengthen the quality of fashion and dress research and stimulate new areas of research. This international and interdisciplinary conference, therefore, is a joint forum for research on fashion and dress cultures in terms of cultural heritage, art history, cultural production, material culture, design history and social and cultural theory.
The conference is currently open for registration. For more information, see

The conference is jointly organised by Denmark’s Design School, the Danish Museum of Art and Design, imagine.. Creative Industries Research Centre at the Copenhagen Business School, The National Museum of Denmark, and The Copenhagen Doctoral School in Cultural Studies, Literature and the Arts.
